Grapes are cultivated using organic methods, entirely free from pesticides or insecticides. Harvesting takes place by hand, spanning from the second week of September to the first week of October.

Vinification

Fermentation occurs in both stainless steel and concrete tanks.

Aging

Aged in used French oak and large, Slavonian oak casks. The wines from the two vineyards were aged separately and created from 6 different barrels to amass the final blend.

Libero is a modern expression of Montalcino, crafted for the curious, free-spirited drinker who values both quality and ease, offering a Sangiovese that is as comfortable in a crystal glass as it is shared casually among friends. The newest addition to the Lazzara Family Estate portfolio, founded in 2014 to celebrate the birth of Charles Lazzara’s son Lorenzo, Libero embodies a philosophy of balance, approachability, and authenticity. Sourced from multiple estate vineyards across diverse microclimates, the wine achieves consistency and harmony, with northern high-altitude sites contributing freshness and floral lift, while southern Castelnuovo plots add depth and ripe fruit character. Slightly higher yields ensure exceptional value without sacrificing quality, resulting in a classic yet relaxed Sangiovese that remains a steady, engaging companion—no matter how the night unfolds.
